W.E.D. stands for Wedding, Editorial & Documentary: the wedding, told with beauty and with truth.

At MAKERSWED we do not believe in fleeting memory or in fashions that expire. We believe in heritage. Based in Palma de Mallorca and working under the unmistakable light of the island, we are a house with a signature of its own where careful photography and wedding film meet. Family memories rarely fail for lack of photographs, but for lack of coherence: that is why we make sure every image and every frame belongs to one story.

A studio's care, never in the way

Unlike the usual approach, we are not mere onlookers. We bring a photography studio's care to your celebration: we know where to place each person so the light flatters them, and we do it naturally. We photograph what happens without forced poses, attentive to the small moments, and set aside a few minutes for portraits prepared calmly. A good portrait takes as much knowledge of light as instinct for making it all feel spontaneous.

One vision for photography and film

Photography and film come from the same team, with the same care for light and colour, so both feel part of one story. On the day we pass almost unnoticed: sound is captured with care, without getting in the way of your guests or your dress, and nothing interrupts what you are living. The colour is always our own, shaped by hand, never from ready-made filters.

MAKERSWED is directed, photographed and filmed by a small, qualified team, based in Palma and by your side in Mallorca, Ibiza, Madrid and across Europe.

We do not work at volume: we work for stories. We accept a limited number of weddings each year, so we can tell each story the way it deserves, and our attention, from the first moment to the final delivery, falls exclusively on your story.

The process

What we do not do

Image and film

  • No perishable trends. Our colour aims for the timelessness of classic cinema; it is shaped by hand, entirely our own, and imitates no particular film.
  • No colour tricks. Never a red bouquet on a black-and-white photograph.
  • No video effects. Clean cuts, carefully crafted sound and music that feels like an original film score.

On the day

  • No intervention. If the moment has passed, it has passed. We document, we do not stage a play: we only guide you during the portrait session.
  • No television-crew look. We dress in black, charcoal or linen, as silent, elegant shadows.

Care and delivery

  • No bulk deliveries. You choose us for finished photographs, picked one by one and in our own style.
  • No generic photo lists. We accept a short list of essential family photographs; the rest is left to our eye.
